EDC Flashlight: EagleTac D25C Clicky
A quick survey of the Bugout.com crew revealed that the majority of us had at least one EagleTac flashlight in our kit. The D25C Clicky is clipped on my pocket in town at night. I picked it up looking for a pocketable option with nice bright lumen rating and also a clicky interface for one handed operation. Previously I had been carrying another brand’s twist operated flashlight. It was a solid performer and well reviewed online. However more then a few times I found myself carrying something in one hand or holding my kid’s hand crossing a street and wishing I had a clicky.
I’ve had it out for a few weeks it’s a great EDC light.
Online price was $50
length: 2.9 inches
diamater: .78 inches
Max output: 453 lumens
LED: Cool White CREE XM-L2 U2 LED
Beam distance: 115 yards
Battery type: 1xCR123A
Interface: Clicky button on tail cap. It’s a reverse click setup so it light upon release of the button. Also once ON a soft push cycles through the modes.
The loosening or tightening the head switches the mode banks.
Tightened head gets you Turbo mode cycling to Strobe.
Loose head gets you into Low-Medium-High cycle. Cycling through these three modes twice enters you into a number of Strobe/SOS modes.
When researching which clicky light I wanted, I found this video which is be far the best explanation and review of this model line by EagleTac.
